In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of a series of important speech by General Secretary Xi Jinping on strengthening the cultivation of the rule-of-law talents, since the beginning of 2019, the Commission of Politics and Law of the CPC Central Committee proposes the establishment of “China Forum of Politics and Law”, which supports leaders in politics and law with firm political standing, rich experience in practice and legal education background, to deliver lecture in well-known law schools. The first 40 lecturers are from both national and provincial political and legal agencies. Zhou Qiang, the President of the Supreme People's Court, and Zhang Jun the Procurator-General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate will take part in the hosting of the Forum and deliver lectures.
Considering the scale and influence of different law schools, “China Forum of Political and Legal Affairs” will first be held in 16 prestigious Chinese universities. Shandong University is included in the list.
